Acceptable variations in trim length - case length

What would be considered allowable case length variation? I have some 6.5x47 Lapua brass that has been fired 5 times. All cases are between 1.8425" and 1.8450". As much as I despise trimming, would it be worth while to trim based on 0.0025" variation?

Thank you.

I try to keep them within .005 because I feel at distance it shows up. Why are they so different? Usually mine stay fairly close. You must have the wrong trimmer. I don't mind trimming at all. The biggest thing is to not get them too long for the chamber. If it pinches bullets the pressures can get dangerous. Matt

I trim mine each time I load, (not so much for accuracy since I have never seen anyone present data that says what the effect on accuracy is, if any) just to make sure there is nothing unexpected going on with the case.

Not sure about other manuals, but, in a general sense, the Hornady manual gives a number for case length as well as a number for trim to length for rifle cases, at least. A case length falling within those parameters is acceptable. This may not be a preferred approach for someone seeking to trim to a designated length each time, however.

Pretty much standard numbers.
