Goes out to 1800 yards. You get a custom profile for your load.

This AB radar unit is the size of a side-by-side ref/freezer! They use it to collect velocities on your bullet out to a loooong way away (I thought it was 4,000 yards but I could be wrong). Once you shoot enough rounds to get a statistically valid sample (around 20 usually), they use that data to create a custom drag curve for your shooting system that you can download to your Kestrel or other device. The bullet is a big part of that but the MV, powder you use (probably muzzle pressure), twist rate, muzzle device, and other things actually affect your actual bullet BC.

The AB system showed that the BC on my 184 trimmed and tipped hybrids is actually higher than what is printed on the Berger box and it is tested true out to 1.5 miles. I do a redneck version of this with my shotmarker. It is really amazing and much better than using bullet drops.

I've got a new Reamer for my 300PRC and I'm planning on running it through it this year.

What bullet are you shooting moondog? I am shooting a 6.5 PRC this and year and plan to do the same. Let me know what BC you end up with.

I'm still running the 300PRC but had JGS do a little different freebore. I've been running the 215s but I'm going to do some testing on the 220s. I trim and point as well. I do all this testing and truing up at distance as best I can prior. Then, they give me different numbers! THAT gets in my head for sure.
