Aargh, Grizzly Backorders / looking for alternative

I've had a 5MT - 5C collet adapter on order with Grizzly since October 16. Each time I call, another month has been tacked on. Currently pushed out to Feb. 20, although I have no actual hope of that actually happening. It's the last thing I need to complete the 5C collet drawbar I made.

Anyone know where I can get the same adapter somewhere else? I've been searching, but apparently, I'm not searching in the right places.

Hello, I've got one for an Enco Lathe that I sold a couple of years ago. I kept the 5c collet to 5MT adapter and the whole setup to use 5c collets on the lathe. It has a tube that goes through the headstock with a toggle lever on the outboard side of the headstock so you can tighten and release the collet. It can be adapted to most any lathe that accepts and has a 5mt spindle. The only thing you would have to machine is the tube to the correct length for your lathe. It is similar to the Royal Collet System but it was alot cheaper. I could sell you the whole setup for $100.00. Let me know if you are interested. I could send you pics via cell phone. Mike

Yep, I got that suggestion from another member and wasn't able to find it on their site. I tried "collet adapter", "5mt 5c" and other variations, but came up with nothing useful.

Jay, Why don't you buy what I offered? It includes the adapter that you want and it is a complete lever 5c collet closer. You can open and close the 5c collet under power. I am sure that you won't be sorry. PM me your email address and I'll shoot you over some pics. It is worth a look anyway!
