AAC barrels

nastynatesfish

A day which we will live in infamy
Anyone else have one? I got one on my 260 built rifle. I really like feel of it and it cleans up nice and easy already and only got about 50 threw it.
Now, the throat is short, my loads are touching lands at 2.755 with a 140 nosler custom comp.
I've tried H1000 and H4831 and cannt get it to shoot.
Also I'm forming brass for it from Norma 243 and it's tight clambering. I understand that may be a part of it. I've adjusted my die and it won't make it chamber any easier. I've got a little donut at the base of the neck that I know is what's making it chamber hard, my factory fired Remington doesn't feel the same.
Any ideals on it? AAC website says not to try and alter the chamber due to the nitride finish ruining reamers. That's gonna be my next step is to cut the chamber and set the barrel back a little.
Anyone?

From what I've read others say over and over, the powders of choice are H4350 and maybe Re17....best wishes and keep us posted.

I have one and it did not like RL17 and 130 Bergers. I have changed to H4350 and I am loading 130 VLD Bergers to mag length. I am getting good groups anywhere from. .3 to .5 at 100. I have not stretched it out yet. Over my Chrono I am at 2957 ave with 44.5 grains (Max for mine). I may try 123 Amax and 140 VLD, but I like the 130's so far.

"... it's tight chambering" got my attention. I'd check neck tension and maybe trim necks on a few cases to see if that helps.
