AA4064, good for lever guns?

I have a buddy who wants to sell 16 pounds of AA4064, I’m pretty good on powder but could use some for my 30-30, 35 Remington, 348 winchester which would let me use many of the powders for bolt rifles guns.

Any experience/opinion with this powder for levers or in general would be appreciated.

If memory is right Accurate recalled some of their 4064. You might want to check lot #s with the factory. Otherwise, if IMR4064 works, so should the AA with a normal safe workup.

Western Powder Edition 1 was still available last time I looked, but who knows since Hodgdon bought them? Their burn chart show it to be the same as RL15 & a touch slower than IMR4064.

Thanks 358, it’s a recent batch, manufacture date of late 2020. I’ve looked everywhere to find some opinions but haven’t found much, I did find plenty of reloading data. I may pass, still have 6-7 pounds of leverevolution. Thanks again

I'm shooting the A-4064 for F-class in a .308 , behind a Berger 185 OTM , and getting 2670fps in cool temps . Excellent powder , in my opinion . Also use their A-4350 in my 7.62x54r Open rifle . I'll be happy to make a deal for the 4064 if you don't want it . :D:D:D
