AA-2230-C Powder

Question about this powder that dates back from 15-20 years ago.

If I understand correctly, this was a pulled down powder.

If so, would/was it just one big lot number, or should you treat each jug as a new lot?

Normal protocol would be to test each new, jug, but I don't recall if I did in the past or not.

I pretty much used it as straight 2230C, but then, I never ran hot loads with it. I never adjusted from jug to jug either. but YMMV.

I shot about 20 8 lb kegs at dogs. You have to test each keg. My loads would vary about 2.5 from other kegs to get the same speed. Be careful! I was killing 8 to 10 thousand dogs back then a year. Roger Schuppe

A-2230 C has the same burn rate as the standard A-2460®.
Therefore any published load information for the standard A-2460® product can be used AS IS

I used 2460 data with great results in 223 and 6-BR (up to 75gr bullets).

I used a ton of 2230c in my 223 service rifle for CMP matches. At that time (20 years ago) I called Accurate Arms for data. They said load it the same as 2230. I never had an issue with it.
Same load, same POI.
