When charging your rifle cases with a powder measure, you must ensure that the case mouth is in the drop tube! If the case head is in the drop tube, the powder charge will cascade all over your reloading bench! Makes a helluva mess!

Once you start throwing loads on the chargemaster, don't accidentally press tare without the pan on the scale...

AND close the dump door on your Chargemaster before dumping new powder in the hopper. (Or so I've heard...)

Guilty. RCBS should have put a detent on the dump door when closed so it wouldn't open if bumped.

I load with a "safety net" for this type of situation. Spilling powder ain't cheap these days.

Pay attention you old guys....don't fill the powder bottle too full.... and never trust anything electronic or a fart....

Been there, Done that!!!
Another time, I set the scales to grams for measuring something that wasn't involved with reloading!! A couple days later, went to calibrate before reloading and forgot the scales were set to grams!!! Yeah, what a mess!!
