Thanks guys! It means a lot to me! I really thought my record days were over! These 2 mean a lot. After my back injury in 2015, then stage 3 colon cancer in 2016-2017, I thought I was washed up.
A big congratulations to Chris Nichols for (another) Piedmont SOY! You have to be a consistently great shooter to get that at Piedmont! Also congratulations to Mike Kuklis for that 1.39 LG agg. In those conditions this afternoon! Bad mirage and switching wind.
A big thanks to Tommy Williams, match director, and the crew of Piedmont for all you do to give us a great place to shoot!

You are exactly right @Alex Wheeler and no one deserves it more than @C. Nichols . In my opinion that is the hardest place to try to win in the country, and Chris does it most matches. It is hard to believe that a 1.5” agg won’t win first place anymore, makes me kinda glad I had to work todayShooter of the year at that range is as good as a record

I have only been to piedmont once, it was a trip ill never forget, a great place to shoot and see where you stack up among some of the best 600 yd shooters in the country.

I know guys want to see an equipment list. I was in a hurry filling out the list at Piedmont and only wrote down the calibers so it wont show up on their list when posted. So here it is:
HEAVY GUN
6BR-AI, no turn, .272 nk
BAT B (RB/LP-RE), Jewell Trigger
2004 vintage LILJA barrel (4 groove) with probably 2000 rounds that I won 2 Nats. and multible records with in 2007-2009 as a straight 6BR. It was my 1st 6BR-AI I experimented with after being set back from a straight 6BR. Its 1.25 staight and fluted with VIAS brake.
McMillian Light 50 cal stock, weight in butt, 6 inch rails on front and 3 inch in back, weighs about 40lbs.
Plainfield Precision (Brian Buttrick) did a phenominal job bedding and rail job!
Sightron’s best 10-50 scope, cant remember the numbers, but the one with ED glass and 34 mm main tube. Great glass!
LOAD:
Again, 2004 vintage BERGER VLD 105g bullets That barrel has always loved! I was out of that lot years ago and that barrel would not shoot anything else. I ran an ad here on AS and a fellow answered with 500 of them. Cant remember who it was now, but Thank you! I shoot them just into rifling to make a square mark on the bullet from rifling engagement.
