To my fellow shooters,
I would like to share a great experience I just had with the rest of our shooting community.
A few months ago I was looking for a gunsmith to build me a new rifle in 6xc. After doing some research I chose Nathaniel Lambeth
He suggested that I look at the 6BRX after I explained that I was having trouble with my shoulder. I listened to his reasons for choosing a 6 brx and made the decision to go ahead with the build. We covered all the bases and decided on a Pierce action a Gary Eliseo stock and a CG trigger built by Tom Myers at X-treme Shooting Products..
Everyone involved with this build has gone out of there way to make this a most fun experience.
Nathaniel is a fun person to do business with and has been more then helpful. I found that Nathaniel paid very close attention to my desires and talked with me on a regular basis about the progress of this project.
John at Pierce Engineering built a new action just to fit Gary Eliseo’s stock Many man hours went into this design from his shop. He was always free to talk if I had questions and offered more then a little help. Thank you John & Jim.
What can I say about Tom Myers. It is his constant advice and hard work that helped bring my scores up this year by at least 20 points per string, his trigger is a beautiful thing. Tom will also be supplying the new 30mm front sight and mounting hardware, it will help with my very old eyes. Toms new 30 mm front sight can be moved from barrel to barrel without loosing your zeros. Tom has engineered a clamping block that stays on your barrel then all you move is the body of the sight from gun to gun. If you have and use more then one rifle at a match this setup makes it easy to only have to buy one sight.
Gary Eliseo builds one of the best products on the market. His workmanship and the package he offers help make it easy to choose the right stock.
This project started out being a repeater but was changed in mid project. Gary also was always available to talk with about what I wanted and needed.
If I grow tired of the stock color I can send it back to Gary and have the color changed without a problem. The beauty of his stock is that the action is not glued in.
The barrel’s are by Tim North at Broughton barrel, with the amount of new records being set by his barrels this was an easy decision.
I will attach a few pictures of the new rifle and the links to my suppliers.
Everyone has their opinion on what is the right stock, barrel, action and caliber to shoot. Each of us is right . But if you are thinking about building a new rifle I believe you will find this group of manufactures to be most helpful.
One more thing I forgot this stock and action will be the host to four calibers 6brx,6xc,6.5x284 & 308 all with just the change of a barrel. The nice part is I can change the barrel in five minutes with out taking the action out of the stock and have a whole new rifle.
Thank you Nathaniel.
Michael
