Throughout the years I've been lucky enough to win various prizes in drawings at matches, The responses I've gotten when trying to claim them have been everything from "..call back next year", "Yep you can get an item at half price but not the one you want." Most however have been right on point- as advertised - but not Like L.E. Wilson was this year.
I won the Wilson high-end micrometer die set this year at Palo Alto. When I got home I did the research and found that Wilson does not make the "high-end" die set in .284. I called them intending to order another 6X47 set and in conversation (I had to try LOL) it came up that I REALLY wanted the .284 set. The Wilson associate on the phone said, "Oh no Mr. Suber, that's no problem, we'll just make you a .284 set". I asked what the customization fee would be and she said, "Why nothing. We don't charge if a customer wins a set of dies under our sponsorship and we have to make em. What kind of gift would that be?"
Wilson. Wilson. Wilson.
This is 2015 isn't it - or did I dream that?
BTW, that was last Tuesday. This morning the dies hit the post office in Brandon.
