I have been scrutinizing the forums for a while now and must say that I am very impressed with both the quality of information and the "niceness" that is displayed here. I am back into shooting after a 30 year layoff. I am so amazed how the hobby has progressed since the 70's. I have purchased a Savage LRPV stock from these forums and have started my first build, a 6MMBR. Nothing fancy, just a "learner gun". I want to thank everyone for asking questions that I had. I also want to thank those that take the time to "gently" explain things to us that are not quite so schmardt!!!

I am just building on a Savage precision trigger action with a Lilja 1:8 barrel. As stated before nothing fancy. Just something that I can get some longer range trigger time.

I hope so. It appears to be a cartridge that I can have some fun with and learn at the same time. I am getting back into reloading and shooting after a 30 year layoff. I chose the 6BR because it didn't require any fire forming and it looked like it would allow me to ease my way back with minimal problems. My plans are to build the gun and load up some starter rounds this winter, while things are froze over, so I am ready when the spring thaw arrives.
