Just meet a new friend at a farmers market and we got together and went on a 50 mile ATV ride looking for elk and deer for the fall. I saw his Honda had the same thing my Artic Cat had a nice metal rack on the front and back to tie down game or gear on. He went to the auto parts store and got a few feet of ID3/4" black rubber hose. Cut it to lengths to fit between the webbing and all over his racks. I asked why. He says I did that to have a rubber area to grab ahold of what ever your hauling and kind of keeps the gear from moving around as it is not slippery like the metal. Your load tends to stay in place better that just the metal. I just did it to mine and I can say it does help a lot. Cut to length and split it down the middle and slide it over the rounded pipe that's welded in place. and I put all the cut down so they will not be seen. Work's great a great idea for one and all and costs very little helps to hold any lad n better.
