A little help with 7mm WSM

So..... According to what I am reading they are saying 7mm WSM has been discontinued. Does anyone know if that is true or not?

Did a search as well and it looks like it has been discontinued. From what i read, its due to Winchester concentrating on Military contracts for brass and they are discontinuing some slow moving civilian cartridges. I think the .284 Winchester was also listed as being discontinued. Its been impossible to get 7mm WSM brass down here in New Zealand - the distributor told me they had absolutely no idea if it was ever going to be available again - ironically, there is plenty of 7mm WSM factory ammo kicking around, though it all seems to be Federal and I know their brass is not too highly rated by some.

Makes me glad I went the 6.5mm SAUM route as there is a good supply of 300 SAUM Norma brass down here - which reminds me i need to order another hundred cases from the distributor, so I don't ever run out.

Ok. I called Winchester and left a message. I have to say I was pretty impressed because they called me back the next day. They have not discontinued the round. They will be producing more this summer with various loads. However, there will be limited brass (if any) available for reloading???? So anyway, I decided to go with 7mm SAUM. I even found some brass in a local store already. Thank you for responding Wildcat. Sorry it took so long to reply.

The 284 has been discontinued for years. Still there may be some on shelves but very limited supply. As for the brass, I wish I knew if Winchester still made it. Everyone says it's seasonal. If it's not available during all four seasons, what season is it available ? Norma is making it and it's available but Winchester is much more reasonably priced and it's decent stuff.

I seen and post about 2-3 weeks ago about Winchester stopping to make brass to reload. It's a shame.
