Well....the 270 has gone down the road. After carefull consideration I am purchasing a Rem 700 SPS stainless in 7-08. There were far more bullets to choose from in the 7mm and accuracy on average has the 270 beat hands down. Its also a short action wich I like a lot. So now Im looking at either a Bell and Carlson or McMillian stock. I like the fact that the McMillians have a marbled finish that is imbeded in the stock material. Twist is one in nine and a half. I dont think I would ever shoot anything heavier than a 162gr A max...more than likely Ill shoot 140-150gr weight bullets. If you have a favorite long range hunting load for the 7-08 lets hear what it is.
