Pat I absolutely love that SP,it suits me fine right down to that fat barrel with the tiny bore.The stock color is the spitting image for the Tracker on my 20 Dasher rifle too

Here you go and this started out as an original mid grip XP100 . And the dogleg bolt handle was replaced with a different one .

The 14/221 Walker is the 221 Fireball case necked down to 14 . It took me about 15 years to finally get this project up and running . A lot of set backs not being able to get materials and things . I’m sure it is a process of making the brass . But i have a gentleman i feel makes them cheap enough i don’t bother . In this short barreled pistol i get 3759 FPS with a 15 gr bullet . I really love it have taken close to 170 chucks with it .

All the XP lovers here don't have a rifle stock for one laying around? Mine still has the dogleg bolt. Its a 17 Mach IV now w/a pretty fat barrel. I'd like to change it back to ,221 FB with a sporter bbl for a walking around rifle

Here is a picture of the 14/221 Walker cartridge . Cartridge on the left is a 17 HMR , middle cartridge is 14/221 Walker and cartridge on the right is a 20 Tactical . This XP weight is around 10lbs. . Barrel is 17” long and it wears a Leupold VX-3i LRP 4.5-14X50 with Impact 32 reticle . My furthest shot with this rig on a chuck is 254 yards .

I had Neil Jones make me a rod , and i cut seventeen caliber patches down . Soak the patches and push through the barrel . Let soak then dry patch .

I first used a couple of the little things that look like funnels that the Dr. looks in your ears with . I now have an aluminum one now that Marty at Twisted Barrel made . And i shoot AA2520 in it .

Marty at Twisted Barrel built me a 14 AH. I got involved in an ugly divorce and never got that caliber dialed in.
Marty was pushing me to build a 10 caliber but too many other irons in the fire. At the time there were no 10 caliber barrels available.

I no what you mean Bob , i think a 14 AH would be a good one . And i have gotten really lucky on my 14/221 Walker . As it shoots really good , it ashamed people won’t make more stuff for sub calibers . Back when i was first interested , PacNor and Lawrence made barrels .
