A&D vs Satorious

I only use stick powders, so resolution beyond 0.02 gr (more or less the weight of one kernel) is of no real use to me; the A&D FX-120i works splendidly for me. If you want stable zero and calibration be sure to get a magnetic force restoration balance; strain gages will always have drift and will drive you crazy with resolution better than 0.1 gr.

TLDR; The Sartorius Entris-64 is a serious scale with unnecessary accuracy for reloading; A&D FX-120 is more than capable.

Had a Sartorius Entris-64 for ~10 years and loved it but recently replaced it with an A&D FX-120 when I picked up a SuperTrickler. Loved the Sartorius but found the level of accuracy to be somewhat distracting and unnecessary for my f-class endeavors. The Sartorius is very sensitive which resulted in wasted time waiting for the far right digits to stabilize (the furthest most right digit never would stabilize bc of sensitivity to air pressure).

The A&D works perfectly fine for reloading. It drifts more than the Sartorius but that problem is easily solved by re-taring. I reload with a +2/-1 kernel tolerance target and the A&D is considerably more accurate than necessary to achieve that.

I have been running the Sartorious Entris for 5-6 years now and have went from the V2 to V3 auto trickler setups. I am very happy with the scale and the performance. The only con to this setup is size, the scale and enclosure is big. Also it goes to the third decimal place so if you have OCD it might drive you crazy.
Isn't Entris a series of scales with different model numbers and different weight ranges and levels of precision?

It seems to me it comes down to whether you can shoot the difference of 1 kernel of powder.
You'd have to be shooting a fine-grained ball powder to be able to use resolution better than the FX-120i; stick powders (all I shoot) are about 0.02 gr per kernel. Then you have to ask yourself whether it makes a difference - 0.02 gr is 0.08% of a 25 gr powder charge, or about 2 fps in a load going 2500 fps; that requires some seriously good shooting to see the difference.
