A chassis vs. a stock

I think y’all are getting your terms mixed up…the full chassis has the DBM but the mini is just a bedding block with an M5 inlet that you use whatever bottom metal you want too.

I’m not a fan, I want 9/16” holes and separate pillars…but that wasn’t what this post was about. It’s more about…do you like the MPA/MDT versus McSwirly/Manners? I have a couple hundred rounds through an MDT Premier Dasher I built for myself…it’s alright but it’s heavy, but it was built that way. Chassis are fine if weight doesn’t matter but for a lighter hunting rig give me one of the M stocks.

No it’s not. The mini chassis I am speaking of was the original that is a full system with the DBM as part of it. Been using them for over a decade. I know what they are. They came out with a smaller version that does not have the DBM for their hunting series but that is not what I am talking about.

Look at the Mini Chassis Gen 2 which used to be the Gen 1 which was their first mini chassis. The changed the mag release on the Gen 2.

I stand corrected, they call them all mini chassis and they are all just different models. But they really are just bedding blocks, some have bottom metal and some don’t. I still would rather have two 9/16” holes and pillars ;)

That’s what they are but two large pillars. They work the same as any chassis does like an MPA, MDT etc. Torque the barreled action in and go.

I was smarting off. I remember Badger bottom metal, an AI magazine, and inletting costing more than some of the early low cost chassis. The adjustable length of pull, comb height, and integral mirage shield provided by an enclosed forend all came for free.

I prefer AR ergonomics to tradition stocks. When I'm on the gun, they all look the same. I still use bedding with factory actions in chassis.

This.

I don't shoot a single stock any more except for my old pdog rifle.

I have had many of each.
Wood is my top pick in Target Rifles Palma and F/Open.

BUT !!!!!!!!! I had a Custom made Chassis made for a Plama Rifle a few years Back (Yellow jackets LLC).
I wish I did not sell it....... I shot more cleans with it.
I there a lot of them up in Canada.....

If it fits and you can shoot it ? Then it's Good.
