A big 5.9% increase in SS

Being a former municipal employee my SS payment was cut 66% automatically right off the top, so with the past few COLA'S and now this new increase it will go up to a whooping $355 per month. minus the new Medicare increase I might get $180 a month for a net gain of minus $25.
Granted I did not pay SS because of the payments to the municipal pension fund ($92 a week) but while working for the city I also worked a second full time job, at a very good wage (15$ hour-hvac tech back in 80's-90's). When I broke my back the SS people told me I was not able to collect disability because of my FD employment, think catch 22.
All this when in my mid 40's. Paid off my house, paid for 2 kids education, high school and college, became debt free and learn to survive with out relying on the government for anything, and I hope to remain this way till I die.

Literally tens of billions to Israel, per capita possibly the riches micro group in the entire world, but they get welfare, free educations, free health care, all on the American tax payer.

People in this country are really bad at math.
 
When it comes to taxes, the only fair way is a flat tax.
No matter what you earn you pay 10%,11%, 15% whatever. No deductions for ANYTHING. If you make 10,000 or 10,000,000 you pay the percentage that everyone else pays, period. Then nobody can complain, they will but they shouldn't because everybody is paying the same rate.
Without getting political, we will never see this in our life time because the fed's would have to live with in a budget, and corruption would be almost impossible.
 
Who could have foreseen these consequences?!?!?

I don't think anyone could have predicted that forcibly shutting an economy down for several months, then pumping trillions of dollars in stimulus would have resulted in mass inflation, and what is ultimately financial subjugation.

Nope! There was no way anyone could have seen that coming. :rolleyes:

But then buy back better could not fund thousands of additional agents to investigate virtually every cent you earn and spend. While Biden and Sharpton owe hundreds of thousands in back taxes.

At the moment a JR Maduro (no one else home to complain) :).
Think about what I typed, there would be no more "pork barrel" spending, no more stimulus funding and there shouldn't be.
It will never come to pass because the Tax & Spend train of thought on both sides of the aisle would not be allowed by law. Just the way the constitution was originally written. The government could not spend more than they take in = no national debt, no borrowing to pay for things that are not needed.
I know for someone with my train of thought it is a pipe dream.
Enough said.
 
All of this is well and good. What I don't understand is why the moderator has not shut this post down as it has absolutely nothing to do with shooting. Not saying it's wrong and it's all true and it needs to be discussed but we've all been told that this is a shooting venue not a political venue. Just my two cents whether anybody likes it or not.

Some of, the Shooter's posting HERE at, Accurate Shooter are having, a "Hard Time", AFFORDING Reloading Components ( leaving the Sport ) and the CURRENT Govm'nt IS, "Mucking up", the Economy and INFLATION IS, eating up, their resources ( AKA,.. Dollars being, DE-Valued ). Yup, some of, us are just Old and haven't much else to do BUT,.. make the yougun's,.. AWARE of,.. the "situation" that WE "see", so Plainly !
