9MM Luger

WSF and Alliant e^3. I've used them with 147gr bullets. These shoot great in faster twist (1:10) 9mm barrels, as you will get in a Sig or CZ, at about 925 fps. Berettas, 1911's...no.

I can add that Winchester WST powder also works well with 124 grain FMJ bullets. I developed an accurate load with 4 grains.

pick thru some books, make a list and see what you can find
accurate 2.5.7 all work well in 9mm
zip is nearly identical to number 2
it aint cheap to plink with vv powders, but in selfdefense loads
3n37 is impressive

I load Red Dot behind my 124's in a Glock 5.5 inch barrel . Consistent , and fast . Accurate at longer than normal distances , too .

I use W231 as it works well and it's what I have.

I heartily recommend using Hi-Tek coated bullets vs traditional lube cast lead bullets. Gun runs MUCH cleaner and produces MUCH less smoke which is nice for indoor ranges.

231 is sooty but it cleans up pretty easily.

One more thought I had about using Hodgdon Titegroup. I’m loading 115 round nose bullets in my 9mm rounds. I only use 3.7gr of Titegroup powder per Hornady load data book. That means less powder, more loaded bullets per pound. Titegroup is #14 hottest powder on the chart. So a little goes a long way. Be careful not to double charge a cartridge. I just bought another pound last week. With this load of 3.7gr I can get 1891 bullets loaded per pound of powder.

Universal works well in just about any pistol case. Use it in 9, 40, 45 ect. Small flake, clean burning, good velocities. Lots of powders to choose from, use what you can find. As a rule 9mm isn't fincky.
Be careful with the fast stuff. .4 gr can be the start - max range.

What do you want out of the 9mm? Accuracy? Stopping power? Controllability? 9 mm is easy to load for any of these applications and there are many powders that can get you there.

Bullet?
