95gr VLD and N140 in 6BR

I am planning to test this combination soon. What is your experience re powder charge and seating depth?

I've shot a lot of 95's in competition from a 9 tw 6br. IMR8208 was the best powder I used followed by 4895. Both liked a stiff load.... close or slightly over max. With the VLD's they seemed to like the longer seating depths best. Like between 10-15 into the lands. Never shot it with N140 as it was difficult for me to find around here. JME. WD

95 gr. Berger VLD with 30.0 gr. Varget CCI BR-4 @ .010 OTL did well in my 6BR. (Caution-work up your load)
Never tried any other powder.

I did not come across testimonies of using 95grVLD in 6BR. I was using with success 140gr VLDs in 6.5CM, however I had to play a little with the seating depth.

I should say work up to load too. Most manuals list this as max

Cant see any problems. I'm using 4166 right now, due to Varget shortage and N140 is on the list try as soon as I can get some. Its a little faster than Varget but fairly well behaved. As the BR is easy to tune, start at -15 thou.

In my experience this bullet, in my 6BR, definitely liked to be in the lands .010 to .015. Maybe due to it's extremely short bearing surface. Nevertheless an extremely accurate bullet for me. Good luck!

This is from the silhouette site steel chickens. It's from one of the top competitors who shot nationals at ridgeway. CPT is chicken, pig, turkey loads at 200m, 300m, 375, respectively. Ram is at 500m. I'm copying pasting as I do not shoot a 6BR.
