Dear season opens tomarrow (it is 11PM) and we over looked one small thing on my nephews gun. The rear swivel stud had been pulled out by the previous owner. He had epoxied it..kinda , and I took it out this spring to do some load testing. I take the studs out so they don't wreck my bag.

Anyway, the stock is a lightweight McMillan...fiberglass shell filled with foam.

Will JB weld do the trick..short term. I am not sure that it will work with fiberglass. on the other hand, there is a pretty big "void" inside the stock. If I can get a big wad of the JB inside the stock and get the stud in place, would it hold once it is dried?

I want to try it tonight, unless you say it is a no go.

Thanks,
Tod

Yes j.b weld should work. Heck if you do it right it might last a long time. Some guy blew a hole in his tranny and did a fix with it to get home. ( no not me) The stores go on and on.
