2900 fps out of a 32' barrel.

Jerry,
I have heard that the .223 Rem. is an approved Palma caliber. Gary E. tells me that 80 grainers are maximum for international competition but that the 90's can be used otherwise. I shoot 155's for Palma in order to reduce recoil. My qustion is can I do just as well, BC and accuracy wise, shooting the 90's in a properly crafted .223rem rifle? If you have already posted an answer to this question, please direct me to it.

Thanks,
John G.

i was shooting berger 90 vlds out of my 7' twist 24' hart ar-15 barrel. i would have to check my log book as to what my charge started at and topped out at but i was using ramshot tac and cci br-4s. i believe i got to around 2600 fps with that load without any pressure problems. surprisingly the 7' twist barrel stabilized the 90 and had decent accuracy.
