8mm m98 mauser side mount scope

Hey guys I love my mauser and would love to get a scope mount..

I have found and even purchased a "scout scope mount" but it appears to be for a k98, not the m98 which I guess is different.. (I didnt know..)

So.. I am still mountless..heh I'd really like a side mount if I could get one, does anyone have a suggestion?

You need to do a little research, find out what you got. If you have a K98 real one you may want to leave it alone, if not take it to a good smith and let him drill and tap and put good mounts on it, best way to go.

Do not drill a k98 - too valuable. If by m98 you mean a Yugo Mauser M48 then drill away. Note the M48 is an "intermediate" length action and not too many options are available.
