87gr VLD in a 9.25 twist?

anyone shooting these in a 9.25 twist? I would like to rebarrel to a LV contour. My current sporter barrel shoots the 55gr BTs very well and I would like to be able to shoot bigger bullets also. Berger says to use a 10 twist. What do ya'll think?

Why not an 8 twist so you can shoot all weights.

My factory remington shoots 95 berger vlds fine so 87 would be fine also I imagine. With their shorter bearing surface , I bet the 95s would fly as fast as 87s with a higher BC.

just wanted to update. Contacted Berger today and was told that a 9.25 twist would be "in an optimal stability condition" Now I just have to find some of the 87gn VLDs.

I shoot the 87gr outta my factory 16.5" barrel @ 1000yds. 38gr of 4064@2990
