87 gr vmax in 1:8 6mm br

any info on powder to use,it has a 26" barrel with a no turn neck

just wondered if there was a limit on velocity or any other factors using this bullet for varmint hunting

any other options

thank you the buster

I shoot the 87 v-max in a 8 twist Dasher throated for 105's and the 87's shoot very well. In a 6 br with a 12 twist I use N-135 at 30.1 gr. but with the 8 twist you may want to back off a little.

There shuld be very lil' problem with jam length...in most of my chambers there is only .025" diff. in the ammount of jam...lots of bullet in the case....gotta change the seater stem about .060...but the lil 87's are long in the bearing surface....they shoot pretty well for a hardware store bullet...Roger
PS ...I go up aprox 4 cliks on the measure,2.3gr) from my 105gr powder charge....
