87 gr + and 6-6.5x47 lapua

I am looking to build a rifle in 6x47 lapua and shoot 87 gr vmax and up. I plan to build on a Black Widow. Kreiger or Broughton barrel with vias break and mbr stock. Looking to see what velocity I should expect with 87s and 107s. Building for 600 yard competition and prarie dogs secondary. What would be a good twist to choose. And best powder for both weights. Thanks

For the 107 GR Bullets, you will need an 8" twist. The 87 Gr Bullets will shoot well in that twist also based on my experience with 8" twist barrels....

What do they claim velocity change per inch of barrel would be on it. I was thinking 28 inch tube. Thanks

Depending upon a few different factors.... 25-30fps. WD

I have a 10" twist Dasher which shoots great with the 87gn Berger VLDs and 88gn LDs. I had previously tried heavier pills but they did not work well with the 10" twist. With the larger 6/6.5x47 and light bullets, maybe try Varget. I used H4350 with 105s in my 6/6.5x47, but Varget is worth a try with the lighter pills if you don't get the ES/SD you want with H4350.
