8208 in the 6x47L

Has anyone tried 8208 XBR in their 6x47L? Any load data you are willing to share?

Hi JC, I shoot a 6 X 47 with 115DTAC's... My load is "warm" with H4350 and will soon try H4831SC to "cool" it down, if you will.. Using IMR 8208 which is screaming fast compared to H4831, you would have to use VERY LIGHT bullets in order to put that powder to good use..

I'm I using H4350 for my Berger 105 VLD loads. I was looking for something that might work with a 85gr Vmax or similar bullet.

I would think (I don't know as I work with the "heavies") that even for 85gr. pills, 8208 would still be pretty fast. However, it might be worth a try, if that is all the powder you have available... Remember 8208 is right between Benchmark and IMR 4895 in burn rate..

In my 6 X 47 L I use the 87 Gr. Berger VLD with Varget and it shoots one ragged hole groups consistently. If you have any Varget, I think you will find that it works very well with bullets in that weight range....George
