80gr. Berger Varmint bullets for groundhogs

I got to try out the 80 Berger varmint bullets yesterday on paper, and between yesterday and today, on six very large groundhogs. I worked up a quick load yesterday at 100yds. with H4350 and was real happy with the results and shot today with my son Potatoe at 200 and 300yds., testing and fine tuning seating depth changes. Again I was happy with the results. The closest groundhog was 134yds. and the farthest was 430yds. and although the bullets did not do the damage I've seen with the 87gr. V-Max, they anchored them really well. I did miss one at 380yds. due to not putting on the right amount of clicks. I need to check the velocity to get a more accurate drop chart. It has only been two days, but so far I am really happy with the performance of these bullets.

The ONLY WAY you'll reach that MV is going to be possibly 'terminal'....for the rifle and you!!

Keep in mind this is the improved, not standard 6x47L. He reached that velocity with the 80gr ballistic tips without issues and multiple firings on the cases. A dasher pushes an 80gr ballistic tip 3500+ with out issues

Pardon! l missed the .5!!

Ive been very happy with the 70 grain BlitzKings in my 6-284 Tikka T3. 22" barrel, 3660fps. My farthest kill this year was 636yd. Hit him in the shoulder, ran 30ft tail straight up then just stopped. I did shoot some of the 80 Blitz and they worked well also

Did you just re-chamber an older barrel for the 6-284?

The 80 gr Berger proved to be super accurate in one of my 243's. Never tried them on a critter. My 6x45 shoots the 87 vmax reasonably well and as said, hits a ton. I shouldn't gripe about .5 MOA at 300 but I know some of it is me. They take a ghog's head OFF at 100 yards.
What load are you running in your 243 with the 80 gr bergers? I'm trying to set a load up for my 243 win
