8028 XBR

Hello to fellow members

Hi

I reload for the following and using the following powders

20 tac vit 130
6 x 47 Lapua h4350
6 PPC vit 133
30 BR 4198

I am using 04 different types of powders at the moment
I am due to take delivery of 8028XBR in the coming week in the UK (one of the first shipment)

I wonder has anybody got experience with starting loads of the above ith 8028 XXBR and your opinion about it i.e advantage over what you were using and is the change worth it with what has been written about it.

I am hoping to rationalise to use 8028 for all 04 calibers

thanks

8208XBR is going to be too fast for the 6x47 lapua, and way too slow for the 30BR. In the 6PPC I would say that you can not get enough of it in the case to cause pressure problems. I have been shooting 31.1 with some success, and it is starting up the neck with a 10 in drop tube. Without the long drop tube the char is high in the neck. I have found that the 8208XBR is good in the PPC but N133 has a slight accuracy edge over it. I know nothing about the 20 tac.

1 cartridge that it is working in (at least for me) is 308 13.5 twist with 155.5 Bergers.

It will work fine with 6x47 and 105VLDs. I am using it in a 6XC 40 improved and believe I took the recipe that took it from Lou Mourdica (spelling)? Try 34.8 and work up to 36 or so. I think they stopped at 35.3 in the straight 6xc and 36.0 in the 6x47. I would think it is going to cover 3 out of 4.

im having really good luck with 8208 in one of my shilen ppc barrels and ulrich 66gr BT bullets. Lee
