80 gr berger vs 80 gr Fowler ?

I have shot a lot of the 80 gr berger match bullets and they really shoot well in several guns that I have. I wonder if any of you have compared the 80 gr berger bullets with the 80 gr fowler? Do the fowler bullets generally shoot better than the berger bullets? Have any of you shot the fowler bullets now being made by the new owner of fowler bullets? I am thinking about placing an order with Bill at Fowler bullets and any advise would be appreciated.

I never shot the old 80 gr Fowler's but the bullets I got from Bill Scheider shot WAY BETTER than I can.My understanding is built same way with the same dies, excellent quality control. I've shot the 80 Bergers and they do shoot almost as good. Price wise, $29.80 a 100 with shipping ) its so close I am leaning to the Fowlers, since I can't seem to get the Bergers locally. Pretty close with the edge to the Fowlers this is out of a 1- 10 Lilja. Haven't shot them past 200 yds yet & still experimenting with loads. Used th eload off this website jumped .010 Bill is for sure a great guy he sent me the first 500 before he got my check and I forgot the shipping no problem he said send it later just ordered another 500 same thing 2 Thumbs up from Me

BJ44BJ,

I built my first 6BR 12 tw to shoot 80 gr bullets., see 80 gr bullets and egg shoot on this site). The Bergers shoot very well, but the Fowler,s shot better in 10 target group agg's. These are the old Fowler made by Jeff. I have not tried the new ones. I say they would shoot as well. I ran a good The Berger's and Fowler thru a good test, both shooting very well, with the Fowler's edgeings out the Berger's. by a few thous. in a agg.

The Bergers seemed a little particular to seating depth, where the Fowlers have shot well no matter what seating depth powder or primer I used, though they really liked 28.5 IMR3031 CCI 450 primers jumped .010.They also liked 30 gr VV135 & CCI 450 better than 30 gr Varget  . The Bergers really like 30 gr H4895 Rem 7 1/2 primers I 'll have to look at the seating depth
