As mentioned by the forum Boss about David Tubb shooting a perfect 450 for the Palma Match, There where no less than 8 perfect scores shot that day! Yes Eight. That is amazing in its own right. Weather was mild cool and the wind never showed above 5.8 MPH on my wind meter. Its a rare day when you drop two points in a palma match and you might not make the prestiegous PALMA 20. Most of the Palma team was present in preperation for the World Long Range championships in Australia comming up this October. This made shooting a palma rifle very challanging with alot of top shooters present and hungry to win.
I would go out on a limb and say more 450's where shot in one day than any one year at a time in the USA. If not i would be shocked to hear otherwise. Sheri shot a blistering 36 of her 45 shots into the X ring. Good show Sheri thats some fine shootin. only 9 tens the rest all X's.
Also a high prize is to get into the 448 + club. that is shooting a 448 or 449 or 450 in a palma match gets into the club and awarded a pin from the NRA to signify such fine Marksmanship. I believe there 22 shooters who earned this honor that day.
Congrats to those who made the PALMA 20.
