7yr old at 800 yards

My son Hunter yesterday at his first chance to shoot at 800 yards. He was shooting my Savage Model 12 223. He hit the plate 8 times out of 9 shots. The one he missed was a bad wind call by me and I had him hold off the plate on the left side. Anyway I am super proud of how he has progressed over the summer. Funny part is the loads I had him shoot were not even ment for this gun. Haha

That is just awesome.

Both my 14 year old son and 17 year old daughter enjoy shooting. Both are very good shots. My son bangs .308's into a 18" gong at 1,000 with a casual confidence that leaves me questioning my own abilities

Way to go!!! both of you !!!! Savage dasher is being coy with you, Ive shot next to his granddaughter when she was so small she had to satndup in the chair to get behind the scope. She was pretty dead on as I remember.

Those young eyes are definitely an asset! I gave my son a few hours of instruction to get him started in target shooting, now he gives me a lesson every time we go shooting

Kinda makes a pop feel real proud, doesn't it.
