I had a TC Pistol barrel and a Carbine rifle barrel and stock. Also, a Lever gun. I killed a buck at 320 yards with 120g Nosler ballistic tips, and the nickel-plated brass takes more pressure. 120g Nosler ballistic tips take the cartridge to a new level, as those blunt-nose bullets bleed off velocity fast.
I never had to shoot a deer twice with the 7/30 Waters with the 120 Nosler ballistic tips.

Ken Waters did an excellent write up on his fine little cartridge in 1985, it’s in his pet loads book. Obviously the newer powders won’t be shown but a lot of useful info and good reading for fans of the cartridge.
