Dont forget to look thru the stickys at the top of the page, theres some good info there. Ive gone over to Barnes TSX or Nosler Partitions for all my hunting, mostly whitetails, but I did get back from South Africa last week. Used Barnes 160s there. People say use std bullets for deer, theyre all you need. Dont like 1/2 a bloodshot carcass. TSXs work. The cases are WW, primers CCI BR2 or Tula LRM, best powder for me is RE19, a case full- check your manuals and work up to your Max, Barnes bullets are not the same as composite bullets. So I wont give you my loads. Velocity is about 3200fps, and most whitetails dont go far , theres always an exit on them for a good blood trail. Accuracy for me in 2 rifles has been excellent <2"@200M. All bullets are WS2 coated

looked at them all. and have a great 168 VLD load that I took a bear with last month in Quebec. its a .3 or so load. just looking to play around a little with a lighter bullet. I do and have looked at the manuals just wondering what some of you guys are using.

What was your VLD load ? Bullet seating depth. They're not doing very well in my rifle. Just bought some 162gr AMAXs I have a bunch of re#22 I need to burn up...... I've been using 69grs of Re#19 behind a 139gr SST for 3300 MV out of 26" Brux bbl.

68.5 RL25 jumped .177" (not a misprint) CCI LRM. but that is my rifle so of coarse work up.

So what is your COAL length with the berger 168 ? Or from bullet Ogive ?
