Anyone have a 7 SAW go gauge they would like to part with? Anyone tried using new alpha brass for the 7 SAW to headspace with?A few years ago, I sent West Texas Ordnance a 700 Rem short action and had them install their SwitchLug and chamber two barrels to 6mm & 6.5mm Creedmoor that I sent with the action. A couple of years later I sent them a 7mm barrel them chamber to 7mm SAW II without sending the action back. When I received the chambered barrel back, I wanted to double check the headspace and didn't want to purchase headspace gauges, so I found the Headspace Gauges dimensions below on their website and added Scotch Tape to the case head of a new piece Alpha 7 SAW brass to get the correct lengths to check my newly chambered barrel.

I made the needed headspace gauges by adding Scotch Tape to a new piece of ALPHA 7mm SAW Brass to get the correct lengths to check my newly chambered barrel. The below dimensions are from the West Texas Ordnance website.

Headspace Gage Nominal "GO" dimension is 1.627″ at .375″ datum

Headspace Gage Nominal "NO-GO" dimension is 1.632″ at .375″ datum
