7mm twist

I was planning on building a 280 Remington to shoot heavies so I got a 1-8.5 twist barrel. Do to practicality sake, cost, and availability I'm thinking of now just using 160 grain accubonds for hunting. Is the 1-8.5 too fast? Should I sell it and get a 1-9 or stick with it? :-\

That thing will never shoot! Out of the kindness of my heart I will give you $50 for the 8 1/2tw. ;D
$55.55 plus postage... Seriously, the 8.5 twist should successfully spin most 7mm boolitz downrange. I've shot 162's and 160's in both 8.5 and 9 twists...they do JUST FINE! and if you decide to sell... ;D

std 280 & not a 280 AI ?? I've thought about a 8.5T 7mm...

280 AI using '06 Lapua brass reformed....dies are out there..

Isn't Berger coming out with a 190+ gr 7mm ?
