7MM REM MAG & IMR 7828

I've been working on an accurate load using SMK 168's and IMR 7828 in my 40X, Can't quite get there and am at the top pressure levels.
Anybody use this combo with success ? Can you recommend another powder?
Thank's Steve

I have not tried that load, but other types of bullets have done well in my tests with that powder. You might try Re33 if you have a 26-inch barrel. I was real impressed with it in the test loads that I did. There is not much data available, but for a 160-grain bullet, I used 175 data available from alliant. Accuracy and velocity were both great.

Rem has used IMR 4350 in the 40x fact tests. I use H1000 in my hunting rifle using Berger 168 VLD's. Also try a different primer you might be surprised

a hefty dose of 7828, a 150 NBT and standard primer has taken me "there" with accuracy, in a Sendero factory barrel. Clearly, this is a case of "your gun may be different".

Agree that SSC may help, but the other powders are a good bet.
