7mm PRC load for 160gr CX

Hi,
Just wondered if anyone had a load for hornady 160gr CX in 7mm PRC. I’ve got N560, N165, RS70 & RS76 powders. I’m based in the uk and struggle to get any of Reloder powders so stuck with what I’ve got.

A safe start for both N560 and N165 is 56.5 gr and work up from there. Be very careful as you go over 3000 fps.

Here is what is published by Hornady for 7 PRC.

Even though 7 PRC is a little fresh, you can glean some information by studying the 7mm Mag data on the VV site as the two cartridges are pretty close.

with about .4g in water difference between the 7 PRC and the 7 Rem Mag, you can start lower and work up, not a bad idea as a matter of practice. I shoot 71g of Retumbo with 215's with several 160ish bullets, vel is 3100 with 26" tube. I would back off to 67g and work up with the 7 PRC, shoot one shot at a time, work up till you see pressure, back off and start shooting groups.

Keep us in the loop on what you find out. The CX bullets probably have a certain bullet jump that they like.

I’ll let you know how I get on. I managed to get a hold of a copy of Quickload and have loaded a few up with RS70. Weather dependent I’ll be out today to test.
Struggling to get any berger bullets this side of the pond so going to try 190gr A-tips for some targets out to a mile.
Thanks for the info.
