any good reduced recoil loads?
going to shooting 165 cast bullet,gas checked, lubed
also 125-150 jacketed

For the cast bullet you might think of 'Trail Boss' for a light load. Have used Trail Boss in 30-30 180gr cast loads and they were just plain fun. A little research should give you a start point if interested.

I have never shot cast bullets, but I had a reduced load for my wife. 50 gr. H4895 behind a 120 NBT. All I had at the time was 215 primers...probably not needed. I want to say I was around 2700FPS out of a 24" BBL. I never tried any hotter (why, right,) nore did I try to reduce it any more. The beauty of this load was that it shot tiny little groups....zeroed at 200 yards, and if I switched to my "big boy" ammo it shot tiny little groups zeroed at 300....with no scope adjustment at all. That was pretty handy!!

I was told to be carfull with reduced load....So....BE CAREFULL WITH REDUCED LOADS!!!
