I was just looking into the possibility of building a 7mm creedmore the idea would be form cases from .308 lapua or even .7-08 norma. I checked out the cartridge diagrams for these two cartridges. As far as I can tell there is very little difference except that the GPC might have a slightly longer neck 7mm CM.285, 7 GPC (based on 30 TC measurement) 0.298. Would there be any pros or cons going with either of these or are they identical to all intents and purposes? I see PTG shas 7mm go/nogo gauges for the 7mm creedmore but no off the shelf reamer on their list. GPC is an off the shelf reamer
The reason I want to go with this chambering is so I can get 7-08 performance in a cartridge I can seat to the lands in a rem model 7 action and feed out of the mag. These actions cannot be fitted with an extended wyatts box
