7mm Custom Bullets

Don’t forget VT Bullets. Tom has been working on one for quite a while. I’m sure when he hits the sweet spot it will shoot. Give him a call, he is a class act and a true gentleman.

I know of a few out there working on some.
Remember, they also make 6mm and and other sizes and having a hard
time keeping up with that demand, let alone developing a new 7mm bullet.
You don't want to put out a piece of sh#t. Doesn't happen overnight.

Matrix had to quit shipping into the US due to US Import rule changes requiring an individual import permit from each customer. These are the same permits required to import into the US a tank, bomber, or warship.
Secondly, the liability insurance went through the roof and became unaffordable..

Yes, Steve, and isn’t there a “Free Trade” agreements somewhere , just like Australia great allies with the US, but difficult to deal with, for such a liberal country.
I make 7mm Custom bullets from 140 grain up to 198 grain in both VLD and Tangent 10 degree but in Australia
“Copperhead Bullet “

People are hoarding bullets now...
Everything is being hoarded or just not being made to
meet demand. Hell, even tumbling media is scarce.
May have to resort to rice.....Went into our Sportsmen's
warehouse 2 days ago and shelves are bare.

It's becoming shoot what you can find. Those who have planned for several years will do ok.

Hi Ken
I would imagine that Oz is under constant attack from a "friend" same as us. Doesn't matter what industry we have, the US always seems to find a way to challenge that industry. Every major industry we have has been attacked recently from the US and been that way for years. They have been trying to shutdown our oil industry for years and the first thing Biden did was shutdown a major pipeline project..

If anyone is in need of tumbling media. Go to a pet store and buy lizard bedding. It’s the same thing, crushed walnut.

I will be watching this also. I needed some 168 vlds for my pistol but no such luck in finding any. I guess the bullet mfg. are just making the most popular ones and will get to these later???

I had a PM discussion with Bart. He has dies and he mentioned
in the 180gr range. He also mentioned, no jackets. The market is
thin to none in that area. I'm primarily looking for BR type short
range bullets which is an empty void. I have been looking at
doing custom myself, but the truth is, I'm a retired tool maker
that wants to stay retired....LOL With the initial costs and head-
aches, I'm looking favorably at another option.....Copper turned
match bullets !! Not much in the way in this arena but Hammer
makes a 101 gr, 1.01" 7mm bullet, I may play with early this spring.
Waiting on a barrel. Copper bulets can be on the spendy side, but
compared to the current prices of the other components, it not so bad.

I've been shooting out to longer ranges (1300-1500) with 7 rsaum and 28 Nosler bench style target rifles. Both 8.5 twist. The 190 Long Range from Berger and 166 A-tip will shoot! They run right with 180 HYB or vld. The bullet that really has my attention although expensive is the 151 Warner Flatline. They are killer bullets and the .721 adv BC is right on. Can't help on the lighter bullets.....just wanted to pass this info along. If money is no object, the Flatlines shoot extremely well. Clean as normal....I've gone back and forth from solid to jacketed bullet and no anomalies! They are the real deal. You ain't seen a flat shooting bullet until a 32 inch barrel Nosler lets one go at 3365 fps. It will hang with most 375's to 1500.

Don't forget, mono's like a good jump.

I've been wanting to get with Hammer & Cutting Edge about some target bullets also.

But i'm holding off till the primer situation starts to sort itself out.
