7mm-08/154 gr interbonds

Does anybody have experience shooting 154 grain interbonds in the 7mm-08? I just bought a Ruger American and I want to get started loading. Some will say, undoubtedly, that I should use 140 gr bullets. However, I already have 154s and the fact that this gun may very well get used on elk makes me feel even better about 154s. I would love to hear what you all have to say.

Use bergers twist rate calculator at www.bergerbullets.com and if you know your twist rate and length of the bullet ,it will tell you exactly if it is wise or unwise. If it is borderline, try them and see.

Hit the ballistics button at right side of the header.

Thanks. Any powder work better Bernedti? What speeds do you get? How about animal experience? My only experience with the interbond was with my .338. Devastating! But that's a 225gr against an average sized doe... ::)
Any other information would be greatly appreciated. :)

I only used VV N540 nearly similar to Hodgdon H4895

With 42.5 grn I got ~2700 fps from a 24" barrel
Really accurate up to 400 meters

I have no animal experience sorry
I took that load for midrange targetshooting while i couldn't get 162grn Amax ;)

I run the 154's in my kids 284 10 twist with no problems other than the deer sure don't like it...
H4350 should work good with those bullets and the 708....

Any more thoughts on how those interbonds perform in the 154 size? Have you recovered any of the bullets? How do the wound channels look? I have heard several times, not necessarily by those with tremendous experience, that the bonded bullets just go right through and don't cause enough damage like an sst or ballistic tip would do. Just curious what others with experience would say.
Thanks for all the info!
