am having a rifle rebarreled in 7LRM on feb 9. gunwerks suggests a starting load of 70 gr H1000. when i asked for a starting ogive length for a 180 berger hybrid, i was told (no names, yet..) that the ogive length was 2.716. when i told him that was unlikely since the case itself is over 2.5, i was more or less told i don't know what i'm doing. i am not a novice. i'm using the hornady 7-28 comparator tool. all i want is a starting point for seating depth until i can get a modified case made. i believe i could get an answer from the fellow who loads their custom ammunition if i could get through to him. any suggestions?
