What is the best powder for the 75 AMax in the standard 6 BR?

There are so many good powders, there is no BEST.

H4895, n135, n140, benchmark, imr4895, imr 4064.

My best bet would be on H4895 or VV-N140

As JB pointed out, Hornady doesn't list a 75-gr A-Max for 6mm. We assume you mean the V-max. Varget, N-135, and Benchmark have all shown outstanding accuracy with the 75gr V-Max, with velocities around 3300 fps. Sierra's Accuracy Load is 29.3gr VV N135, 3000 fps for their 75gr Varmint Bullet, FYI.

N-135 would be our first recommendation for the 75gr V-max in a standard case.

You guys are right, of course. I did mean V-Max..

And thanks for all the poweder choices.. Looks like some of them cross over and work fine with the 107 SMK as well ??

Hi Pat:

My best load for the 75 V-Max in my standard chamber 6 BR with 1:14 twist is 32.5 and 32.8 of Varget with the bullet seated hard into the lands. These consistently shoot into the .300s and are one of the best doses "coyote medicine" I've seen.

I use 30.5 H4895 or Benchmark with my 75 V max load...Pac Nor 12 twist on s/shot Savage 12 action...works real well. 70 gr Sierra BlitzKing, 31 grs 4895 or BM.
