750A trigger guard

I have a Montgomery Ward 750A Mauser that has a broken trigger guard , it is about a 1/4" piece in the bottom of the guard missing . It is made of some type plastic . Anyone have a recommendation for a filler that would stick good and have decent strength ?
Or perhaps someone who could make the trigger guard . Aluminum would be fine , I could paint it . thank you , Kenneth

Your Mauser is a one off . It has a blind magazine , correct ? As such the trigger guard is also . It probably is a generic . If you can send a pic to ggmac5@aol.com and the bolt spacing , I'll see what I have .

I was going to suggest an ADL or a winchester 670 guard . I'm visiting with family in Texas . I'll be home the 23 and check the Winchester 670 measurement .

I just thought of another possible , the savage line up , axis , 112 blind mag , or even some 22 s .

A little dab of Devcon will fix it right up.....

If you want a complete make over ,which will cost about $150 . It would include a new Boyd's stock of your choice and a STEEL TRIGGER GUARD from a 98 mauser . This way you can remove the rounds from the floor plate .
If you can do minor wood working that cost can be cut in half . I'd be happy to walk you thru it .

Thanks Ggmac . I will wait till you get back and use the trigger guard replacement route if it pans out . The existing stock has been pillar bedded and barrel floated so I'll just stick with it for now . It is plain Jane but just right for one handed carry .

You could always get a ADL and sand the sides down , it's aluminum .
