700 trigger in 722 action?

Will this work? wondering if i should clearance my new stock for my 722 trigger or just swap it out. thanks

Roger, you will have to relieve the 700 stock to accept the 722 safety lever. If you swap the lever for a 700 lever you will have to mill the cutout in the receiver tang.

The safety levers on 700s and 721/722 triggers will NOT interchange. The detent for the ball under the side of the safety lever was put in a different place.
Levers are hardened, they will break before they bend.
Factory and custom triggers are readliy available for the 700, no mods requred to stock.

BUT..... a new detent can be put in place. The question was does the 700 stock need to be relieved for the 722 safety lever to fit. The answer is yes.
