700 cocking piece

You're in luck. Complete M700 firing pin assemblies, some with speed lock springs and lightweight firing pins, are readily available through Brownells and others. The firing pin assemblies include the bolt sleeve, firing pin, cocking piece, and spring. They are "drop in", however firing pin protrusion should be checked.

I bought a new non J shroud and a Tubbs speed lock system and so far when put together things don't look right, when cocked the pin is sticking out of the shroud about 1/4" with the old firing pin and I haven't got a chance to put the Tubbs pin in yet, the hole in the back of the pin and the hole in the cocking piece don't line up.

The trouble is you tried to "mix and match" parts. You should have contacted Gre-Tan rifles for the complete assembly and you'd have had a "drop-in" .

May just do that. ..I guess I thought I could cheat!
