700 bolt needs a refinish to whatever pattern it is called

Put your money towards a new quality barrel. Looks don't make it shoot any better.

My scores definitely went up after painting, jeweling, and pinstriping my stock. I bet jeweling the bolt will add a couple more points to my avg.

Heard it too many times,,, "I don't care about how it looks, long as it shoots real good". Definition of "shoots real good"; it didn't blow up in my face. Hunting rifle doesn't need to shoot in the .1-.2, but its nice if they will. 1/2" or a bit better is sufficient for most 'big game'.

Jeweling and engine turning are synonymous. Part of the reason for it, is to hold lubrication.
