70 gr Sierra HPBT in 244

I built a 6mm Remington with a short throated 1:12 twist 28" Shilen barrel as my go to coyote (to replace my first 244). I am hammering the 75 VMaxs with IMR 4831 in RWS 7x57 brass I converted to 6mm (hardest brass I have ever worked). RP brass was getting lose pockets after 3-4 firings. I push the RWS harder and 8 going on 9 firings and still tight primer pockets as can be. 3650 fps and a laser to 300 yds. Back to the problem, I am down to less than a box of 75 VMaxs don't see any availability. I prefer to load up a few hundred rounds and make it through a coyote season (or two).

I see Sierra has the 70 gr HPBT Match Moly on closeout. The bare 70s I shot in the barrel worked fine. Never shot any moly bullets before. This a CM barrel. I have read people stay that moly will not come off barrel. Any truth to this? I want to go back to my bare 75 VMaxs once they are available at non-hoarder pricing. Any one shoot the 70 gr Sierra HPBT?

You might get more action if you change your title to "Moly residue removal" or something since that seems to be your primary concern.

Moly will shoot (burn) out for all practical purposes. Figure around 10 rounds and it's not giving any evidence.

JB paste or polish will clean it also.

I would be more worried with bullet performance on the target then I would be worried about being able to clean out the moly. The Match Kings, while extremely accurate, are erratic performers on game.
Put out a WTB ad for the Vmaxs or some Sierra blitz kings. If you are just punching paper than it doesn’t matter.
YMMV
