7 SAUM Groups

Thank you for you compliment, you are very kind.
I used to do the .003 process, and it works. No wrong way, just a different approach.
I can see where .005 covers a lil more ground in your targets, where seating in .003 increments would cause a person to have 3 more loads to shoot and 9-15 extra rounds of components and barrel life gone.
Lesson learned I'm gonna try .005 next seating test.
Thanks Joe

Please show me your 7 SAUM groups.

What is this caliber capable of at 600 and 1,000 yards.

Thanks!

Terry

If you choose it, you won’t see much benefit at 600 over the .284 until it’s very windy. All the while using up the barrel. But at 1,000 against a line of .284’s, it is in effect just like moving only your .284 to the 900 yard line, or even closer, against the competition. You get to make slightly safer wind calls and you pay a smaller price for missing a change. My only problem with my Saums is that I am still the one making the wind calls, but team wind coaches love it.

Awesome shooting, Joe. Hope it doesn’t rain this weekend. Looking forward to another great Bayou long range match with you guys and Royse to shoot two Saums with fresh 36” barrels.

Here's the target from my last relay from yesterday's match. As close to shooting clean at 1,000 as I ever have gotten with my SAUM. I had cut back to 58.8 because the barrel keeps accelerating.

One of these days, I might get lucky and....I will be on cloud nine.
